About Course

Objective 

Level 5 Advanced National Diploma in Education and Training program is a teaching qualification with a teaching/training practice requirement. It is an ‘in-service’ qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers in England. It may be possible for pre-service teachers/trainers (defined as those who are not formally contracted as teachers/trainers) also to complete this qualification

 
 

Entry Required

This is a stand-alone qualification, but there are entry requirements. Applicants must have obtained one of the following: Level 4 Advanced National Certificate in Education and Training or any qualification at Level 4 or above, as notified on the NQF or QCF of the United Kingdom or SCQF Level 6 and 7 in Education-related or any overseas qualifications, as judged by UK NARIC, to be equivalent in standard to a level 4 qualification in the UK (or higher).

Progression

Successful candidates have a wider opportunity to progress to higher-level qualifications, including the LMQ Level 6 Professional Graduate Certificate in Education and Training. As this qualification is equivalent to Level 5 (QCF/RQF), the candidates are eligible to gain direct entry into Year 3 of the bachelor’s degree programs.
